Spring finally arrived

When we finally got a warm day, the kids made it very clear that we needed to get outside. We all drove to our favorite play ground and had a blast playing around. Here are some of the pics!

Daddy Daughter Dance

This is the picture from our first daddy daughter dance. We had so much fun! All Mimi wanted to do was dance. (She loves to dance just like Spring.) She kept asking me to twirl her and dip her. it was a lot of fun, and a good work out. She demanded that I carry her so that she could feel like Cinderella. By the end of the night, my arms were exhausted, and sore the next day. We had lots of fun though and can't wait to do it again. I told her that someday she would be going to dances with her friends. She said she'd only go with her friends if the rest of her family (Spring, Spencer, Jesse and I) would go with her. I told her I'd hold her to that. She promised me that she wouldn't change her mind. :)

Some fun pictures

Here are some fun pictures Spring and I noticed while looking at pics as a family.
Some were really fun and we thought we'd post some of them on our blog!
This is the kids walking with Grandma at Adam
Ondi Amen.
Spencer and a friend playing in the leaves. Spring's
timing was just right, this is one of our favorites.
We hid behind a wooden fence with the camera
trying to let the kids get a good close look at a seagull.
you can just see this bird thinking "mine, mine"
This is a timed shot (however you say it) we took
at the cabin. The moon and stars really showed up well. This
reminds me of a nativity scene.
Once this guy got his bread, he was out of there
but we got this really cool picture before he took off.

One more pic to go along with post below...

These two were my favorite pics of her hair...

What we've been up to...

So, I brought home a model brain to show the kids. I often bring models and as well as some actual bones to show the kids. They loved it, thought it was a little weird (as they usually do) but seemed to enjoy it over all! We keep doing Mimi's hair in sponge curlers and love it. We love doing it up like this. Spencer is busy in school, building cars, learning letters and doing art projects. He loves school except for when he comes home to discover that Spring and the kids actually did something fun WITHOUT him. He is a great big brother and has been helping a lot lately with Jesse. I'm putting in a picture of Spencer with his new Sunday outfit my mom bought him. Thanks Mom! His teacher at school gave him and his classmates a homework assignment to go home and do some service for someone in his family. He (without telling us) snuck into our room and made our bed and put a picture within an envelope he made for us. It was adorable.

I just LOVE this picture!
This is one of the beautiful sights to see
on a long drive back to Oklahoma!

Mimi happy to be in the snow!
Jesse was not to sure of santa.
Definitely NOT!
His button got stuck in Santa's beard in
his desperate attempt to flee and he
was ready to leave the shirt behind.
we all got a great laugh!

Jesse's first time painting. He was excited!!
This is Jesse's first Oklahoma Love Elle.
He stood there and talking and smiled
at her for some time. We had no idea
what they were saying but they were
pritty animated.
Jesse got stuck in the
middle of these pumpkins.
The kids loved the pumpkin patch and
climbing on the huge pumpkins.
Jesse was just being a ham
while we tried to decorate
the haunted house.
The haunted house!
Mimi took decorating the haunted house
very seriously. She sat there and keep
decorating for another 10 min after
we had stopped. The black frosting and
black bats were her favorite thing
to use to decorate.
Spencer's favorite candy to
decorate with was the candy corn.
I stayed with Jesse at the car passing
out the treats. Jesse wasn't feeling well so
he didn't get to go with Jimmy and the kids.
The kids did trunk or treating with Jimmy!
