Hiking Adams Canyon

The other day, we went hiking with Melanie and Stuart and their kids. It was the first time we had taken them on a real hike! Spencer LOVED it, and Mimi loved it at times but struggled with the roar of the river and some of the bugs. She panicked for good when she saw a small rattle snake cross in front of her! At that point she screamed when ever she saw a tree root, or when bugs flew by her face. It was a fun "first hike". Spencer carried his stuffed kitty all the way up and snuggled with it when we got to the half way mark (the point at which we turned around and came back) 1.5 miles into the hike. In all we think we walked about three miles that day!

Wow! Your kids are more adventurous than me. That's great that you had a great time, except for the snake!
