Bread Day

Spring's parents told us one evening all about the days when they were first married. They talked about how money was extremely tight and that they had to improvise in order to make ends meet. One of the things they did to save money that became a small tradition in their early years was bread making. They'd each make their own loaves and have competitions to see whose loaf was best. For judging the best loaves, they'd have friends come and taste them after which, they'd give friends a free loaf. Sounded like a lot of fun but they haven't done it in YEARS so we decided to have them teach us and we'd have a bread making competition day. It was a LOT of fun and the bread was delicious too.
